Cuse Closet: Just add a little sparkle

Cuse Closet peeks inside the staff's wardrobes to find out where we're going and how good we look getting there.

Hard and soft: the classic contrast

Today my outfit was a simple contrast. With all this snow, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the cozy men’s flannel shirt in my closest. The problem: I didn’t want to end up looking like I just rolled out of bed.

I decided to pair the flannel shirt with something tighter to contrast its oversized fit. I chose leggings instead of tights to keep the look casual. The pairing of the two reminded me of a classic 80’s look.

I also wanted to distract from the fact that it was a men’s shirt. I did this by wearing sparkly pointed-toe flats and a sparkly belt to match. This added much needed femininity to the outfit. I could have added more pieces, like jewelry or a fancy headband, but I decided that I didn’t just want the outfit to be a complete contrast; I wanted to keep it simple.
