COM 500: Producing Cross-Platform Communications is launching a Fashion Scavenger Hunt at the S.I. Newhouse 5th Annual Fashion Communications Milestone Fashion Show this Friday, at 7 p.m., in the lobby of Newhouse 1. The hunt will run from April 1 to April 24th.
The Fashion and Beauty Communications Milestone program brings together the business side of fashion and communications at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with the creative side of fashion at the College of Visual and Performing Arts. COM 500 hopes the scavenger hunt will bring attention to the program and give students a chance to participate with fashion on campus. All Syracuse University students are eligible to play and can register for the hunt through the program’s website: http://cnystyle-dev.syr.edu/.
A new clue will be posted to the website, Facebook, and Twitter each day during the hunt. After receiving the clue, participants can search for the items on campus and take a photo of what they find. In order for the photos to count, participants must upload the them to Facebook and tag them as SUFashionPromotion. Photos can also be e-mailed to the website. Participants have the chance to win two tickets to the Senior Fashion Show on Friday, April 29th and goodies from various stores in Syracuse.
The class with hang posters around campus that feature different clues and QR codes. The codes can be scanned from a smart phone and will make the site accessible anywhere on campus.
