Dress Over the Jeans?

I think the whole dress over the jeans look is a very tricky concept.  In my opinion, this look was created for the purpose of being able to wear a dress that might expose a little too much below- thus, along came the idea of wearing jeans underneath to solve the problem!  It's extremely easy to look like a complete idiot if you don't get the look right.  I don't think Jennifer Love-Hewitt got the look right at all. You might disagree, but the baby doll dress would be much better off alone- she's trying way too hard to go outside of her comfort zone and look "fashionable" by experimenting with this look. I give her an F.  You're better off sticking with the butt-hugging or mini-dress for this look, so go out there this weekend and grab your favorite mini and try it with a pair of skinny jeans- just make sure to check it out in the mirror first before you get caught in public looking like this.
