The Craze: Walk Your Own Red Carpet

The Craze is a trend report bringing you the latest (and, duh, the greatest) in beauty and styles.

After watching the Oscars last week, mainly for the red carpet, I got excited for spring cocktail dresses. Some of my favorite looks were from Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson. Take these looks, neutrals and magentas, belts and bands, and pick out some rocking cocktail dresses for spring.

Below are some of my favorite cocktail wear for this season from BHLDN, Anthropologie’s new bridal shop. I know, a “bridal shop” isn’t exactly where you go looking for cocktail dresses, but BHLDN has some great looks that are sure to getting people talking at the party. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but are worth it, right?

Celeb Style: Shoes Found

When I first saw a picture of Reese Witherspoon from the L.A. premiere of her new film Four Christmases, I was immediately drawn to her shoes.

I assumed her shoes were either celeb favorites Christian Louboutin or Jimmy Choo, but much to my surprise I found out that they were actually from one of my favorite stores. She paired her Nina Ricci dress with peep toe pumps from Banana Republic. The 'Shiri' satin oxford pump is available exclusively online at Bananarepublic.com for $150. Reese looks amazing and I love how she mixed a high end designer with high fashion but low-budget style.
